About Aurifil 80wt Cotton Thread
Aurifil's 80-weight cotton is an extraordinarily fine specialty thread — at roughly half the diameter of the 50wt, it is engineered to be as nearly invisible as a cotton thread can be. Each spool contains approximately 1,300 yards of the finest Egyptian mako cotton. The primary applications are needle-turn appliqué where the thread must disappear into the folded edge, precision piecing on delicate fabrics, and bobbin work where thread visibility must be minimized. Made in Italy.
