Put the finishing touch on your quilts with a beautiful, personalized quilt label. Linda’s Quilt Labels collection features printable, iron-on, and write-on labels to help you document your work with your name, the date, the recipient, and any special message — turning every quilt into a lasting keepsake.
Why should I label my quilts?
A quilt label documents the maker, the date, and the story behind the quilt — information that becomes priceless to future generations. Labels also allow quilts entered in shows to identify their maker and protect your work as your own.
What information should I put on a quilt label?
At minimum, include your name, the date completed, and your location. For gift quilts, add the recipient’s name and the occasion. You might also include the pattern name, fabrics used, or a personal message.
How do I attach a quilt label?
Iron-on labels fuse directly to the back of the quilt. Fabric labels can be hand-stitched or machine-sewn to the quilt backing before or after finishing. Some quilters incorporate the label into the backing seam.
Can I write on quilt labels with a regular pen?
Use a fabric-safe permanent pen like a Pigma Micron or fabric marker for labels. Regular ink pens may fade or bleed when washed. Always heat-set your writing with an iron before attaching the label.
