How Stripology Works
The ruler has precision-cut slots at standard quilt strip widths (1.5", 2", 2.5", 3", 3.5", 4"). Place the fabric under the ruler, align to the desired strip width, and run the rotary cutter through the slot. The slot guides the blade and prevents ruler shifting, producing perfectly straight, consistent strips. Multiple strips can be cut in one ruler placement.

Who gets the most from a Stripology ruler?

XL or Squared — which first?
Squared for most quilters — it cuts strips AND crosscuts them into squares and rectangles without switching rulers, covering the full cut-strip-then-subcut workflow. The XL earns its place when yardage-scale strip production is the dominant task.
Do the slots demand any technique change?
Two habits: keep the blade vertical in the slot (tilting cuts wide), and use a sharp 45mm blade — dull blades drag in slots more noticeably than open cutting. Otherwise it's the same rotary stroke, just guided.
