Do Glide and Omni require different tension settings?
Both are 40wt polyester and behave very similarly in the machine. Most longarm quilters find tension settings transfer directly between them with at most very minor adjustment. Always run a test stitch when switching thread brands.
Can I use both Glide and Omni in the same quilt?
Yes — switching between the two mid-quilt is fine as long as you adjust tension if needed. Some quilters use one for blocks and another for borders. The sheen difference may be noticeable up close but is subtle from normal viewing distance.
