Based on biscornu-style pincushions, the Four-Patchwork Pincushion is made from patchwork fabric rather than the traditional needlework. The two squares become a squircle with some clever sewing, creating its whimsical shape. The French adjective, biscornu, means skewed, quirky or irregular--a perfect word for this pincushion!
