Linen: The Character Actor
✨ Texture and drape — That slubby, organic look no cotton can fake. Linen garments and home décor get softer and lovelier with every wash.
☀️ Cool wearing — Linen wicks and breathes better than nearly any fiber — the summer fabric.
👀 Wrinkles are the aesthetic — If you fight linen's rumple, you'll lose. If you love it, nothing else will do.

Precise piecing, quilts, anything with points: cotton. Flowy garments, tea towels, rustic table linens, bag exteriors with character: linen (or a linen-cotton blend — truly the best of both).

Sewing with linen? Prewash twice, cut with a fresh rotary blade, and stay-stitch edges immediately — linen frays enthusiastically. A slightly longer stitch (2.8–3.0mm) flatters its weave.
