Only under white or very pale, thin fabrics — the natural cream tone can subtly warm a bright white background. For light-palette quilts, choose the Tuscany Bleached Cotton instead; for everything from cream through darks, the unbleached version disappears completely and its natural tone is actually preferred for vintage and heirloom looks.
How closely do I need to quilt Tuscany cotton batting?
Follow the spacing printed on the package — premium needle-punched cottons in this class typically hold together with quilting lines a few inches apart, with closer quilting producing a flatter, more textured antique finish. Dense custom quilting and wide-open modern spacing both work, as long as you stay within the labeled maximum.
Does Tuscany Unbleached Cotton shrink when washed?
