Frequently Asked Questions
Which fronts earn a turquoise back?
Coastal and tropical quilts first, then any front with turquoise or aqua in the palette — and scrappy quilts, where one vivid backing anchor unifies a chaotic front.
Why do makers love the flip moment?
A vivid backing turns showing a finished quilt into a two-part reveal — the turquoise back gets its own reaction, which matters on gift and commission quilts.
What bobbin on vivid blue-green?
Matching turquoise or teal, tested on a sample strip first — saturation this high makes any bobbin mismatch visible.
How does the Grunge texture read on turquoise?
Like water — the tonal variation gives the wide field movement and depth, more oceanic than a flat solid could be.
Regional and patriotic tie-ins?
It completes coastal color stories and blue-element patriotic quilts — a livelier alternative to navy when the front runs bright.
