Do the printed fabric sheets require heat-setting?
Most cotton printable fabric sheets require heat-setting with an iron after printing to make the ink permanent and washable. Follow the specific instructions included with the sheets for heat-setting procedure.
Are the prints washable after heat-setting?
Yes — properly heat-set inkjet-printed fabric is washable. Colors may gradually fade over many washes but remain visible for years under normal use conditions. Follow the specific product instructions for washing recommendations.
Can I use these with a laser printer?
No — these sheets are specifically formulated for inkjet printers. Laser printers use heat to fuse toner, which is not compatible with the inkjet treatment on these fabric sheets. Using laser printers may damage both the sheets and the printer.
How do I handle the printed sheets during quilting?
Allow printed sheets to fully dry and cool after heat-setting before incorporating into a quilt. Treat them as any other quilting cotton for cutting, piecing, and quilting purposes.
