Frequently Asked Questions

How much yardage do I need for a queen quilt?

A standard queen quilt requires approximately 3 yards of 96" batting with adequate loading overhang for a longarm. Order 3 yards for a queen; 3.5 yards for a king.

Is the by-the-yard batting the same quality as roll batting?

Yes — identical product, sold by the cut yard rather than a full roll. The per-yard price is typically higher than roll pricing.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Check the current listing for minimum yardage. Most by-the-yard batting listings allow purchasing in 1-yard increments.

Can I order multiple yards at once?

Yes — order the quantity you need. The batting will be cut from the roll as a continuous piece.

Is this a good option for a guild or group project?

Yes — by-the-yard purchasing allows guilds to order exactly the yardage needed for a specific project without leftover roll batting to store.
