Both are quality cotton battings, but Tuscany uses premium long-staple cotton with a more refined construction process. The result is a softer, less scratchy batting with reduced bearding and a more consistent surface. Tuscany is the choice for quilts where the absolute best cotton batting performance is desired.

Why choose unbleached over bleached Tuscany?

Unbleached is the natural cotton color — a warm tan/cream tone. It’s appropriate for most quilt fabric tones and avoids the chemical processing of bleaching. For white or very light fabrics where batting may show through, the bleached version is preferable.
