Why is 80/20 batting paired with White Glide thread?

80/20 cotton/poly is the most popular batting for production longarm quilting, and White Glide is the most-purchased thread color. This bundle pairs the two items longarm quilters order most frequently into a single convenient purchase.

What size batting roll is included?

The bundle includes a Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 queen-width roll (93") at 30 yards. Check the product listing for confirmation of the specific roll dimensions included at time of purchase.

Is this bundle suitable for a new longarm studio setup?

Yes — starting with Hobbs 80/20 batting and White Glide thread is one of the most common beginner recommendations because both products are reliable, widely used, and perform well across a broad range of quilt types.

Can I add matching bobbins to this bundle?

The White Glide Thread + Magna-Glide Bobbins Bundle (sold separately) can be added alongside this purchase for a complete thread-and-batting setup. The thread and needle trifecta bundle also pairs well.

How many quilts can I complete with a 30-yard batting roll?

A standard queen quilt uses approximately 3 yards of 93" batting. A 30-yard roll yields approximately 10 queen quilts.
