Frequently Asked Questions

How many king quilts does a 30-yard roll yield?

At approximately 3.5 yards per king quilt with loading overhang, approximately 8–9 king quilts per roll.

Why choose the 120" width for king quilts?

The 120" width eliminates batting seams on king quilts, saving setup time and ensuring consistent loft across the full quilt surface. For studios quilting king quilts regularly, this is a significant time savings per quilt.

What stitch spacing is recommended?

Quilters Dream recommends quilting within 8" for Select 80/20 batting.

Does the 80/20 blend shrink?

Approximately 2–4% on first washing due to the cotton content. Pre-wash if a precisely flat finish is needed.

Is this the same batting quality as the queen roll?

Yes — identical fiber, grade, and construction. Only the width differs.
