Top 10 Questions About QD Select White 80/20 Queen Roll

Is White 80/20 the most universally applicable production batting?

For studios needing a single premium cotton-poly roll that covers the widest range of customer quilts, White 80/20 at queen size is the strongest argument. White works with most quilt tops; 80/20 provides preferred cotton-poly blend quality; queen roll covers the most common size.

What is SELECT grade?

Mid-production quality appropriate for customer quilts and regular studio production — above REQUEST entry level.

How many queens does 30 yards provide?

At approximately 2.75 yards per queen, approximately 10–11 queen quilts per roll.

Does 80/20 shrink?

Yes — 3–5% after first wash from the cotton component, creating vintage crinkle.

What stitch distance is supported?

QD SELECT supports up to 8" between quilting lines.

When should I choose White over Natural 80/20?

Choose White when the quilt top is bright white, light, or cool-toned. Choose Natural when the top is warm, cream, or ivory-toned.

Is 93" sufficient for queens?

Yes — 93" accommodates queens with standard loading overlap.

Is pre-washing required?

No.

How does QD SELECT 80/20 compare to Hobbs 80/20?

Both are quality 80/20 battings. Studio preference develops through regular use of both — differences in drape and loft handling are subtle and personal-preference dependent.

Is roll format economical?

Yes — significantly more economical than packaged batting per yard.
