How do SewTites Magnum work?

SewTites come in two pieces — a top and bottom magnetic disk. Place one piece on each side of the fabric layer you want to secure, and the magnets lock together through the fabric, holding it firmly without piercing. They can be slid along the fabric surface for repositioning.

What is the advantage of Magnum over regular SewTites?

The Magnum size has stronger magnets and a larger gripping surface — designed specifically for securing thicker materials including quilt sandwiches, multiple batting layers, and dense fabrics where smaller magnetic pins might not hold securely.

Can SewTites Magnum be used for loading quilts on a longarm frame?

Yes — many longarm quilters use SewTites to temporarily secure quilt backing, batting, and quilt top layers during loading before final pinning or basting. They can also be used to hold pattern templates and ruler guides in place during quilting.

Are SewTites safe for my sewing machine?

Remove SewTites before passing fabric under the presser foot. Like traditional pins, magnetic pins should not be sewn over. The advantage over traditional pins is that SewTites are safer to handle — no sharp points to prick fingers during repositioning.
