How does the Good Witch Orange pair with the Cats In Hats collection?

They’re from the same Poppie Cotton Halloween group and designed to coordinate. Orange Good Witch paired with black Cats In Hats creates a bold, high-contrast Halloween quilt. Add teal colorways from both collections for a richer palette.

Can the orange Good Witch fabric work in a harvest/fall quilt beyond Halloween?

Yes — the orange ground combined with harvest-season motifs makes it suitable for broader fall quilts, particularly if paired with cream, rust, and golden-brown fabrics rather than strictly black Halloween prints.

Is the orange Good Witch available in fat quarter or charm pack sizes?

Individual prints from this collection may be available in different cut formats. Browse the full Poppie Cotton section at Linda’s Electric Quilters for available cut options beyond the by-the-yard listing.

What thread blends into the orange background?

A warm orange, burnt sienna, or rust thread blends invisibly on the orange ground. For tonal quilting that reads as texture, use a true orange thread matching the background. For visible quilting, black or dark brown thread creates bold definition.

How do I handle orange cotton fabric in the quilt-making process?

Pre-wash cold to set the dye and allow for shrinkage. Press on the wrong side or use a pressing cloth to protect the print surface. Treat as standard quilting cotton for cutting and sewing.
