What is the difference between Warm & White and Warm & Natural?

The fiber content and construction are essentially identical — the only difference is that Warm & Natural uses unbleached cotton (producing a tan/cream color), while Warm & White uses bleached cotton (producing a bright white color). For light or white-toned quilts, Warm & White is the correct choice to prevent the batting from showing through.

When should I use Warm & White instead of Warm & Natural?

Use Warm & White when your quilt top or backing features white, very pale, or light-colored fabrics where the natural tan of unbleached cotton batting might be visible through the fabric. For medium-toned and dark fabrics, Warm & Natural is equally suitable and often preferred for its unbleached, natural character.

Does Warm & White shrink?

Yes — like all Warm Company cotton battings, Warm & White shrinks approximately 3–5% on first washing, creating the beloved slightly crinkled vintage quilt appearance. Pre-wash if a flat finish is desired.

Is Warm & White appropriate for hand quilting?

Yes — Warm & White has the same excellent needle penetration as Warm & Natural, making it one of the preferred choices for hand quilting.

What sizes is Warm & White available in?

Warm & White is available in standard quilt sizes from crib through king. Check the Linda’s product listing for currently available sizes.
