It’s officially Shop Hop time! The Mrs. Roper’s Shop Hop Romp starts TODAY, and I hope all of our local Besties will come join the fun!
There are 16 participating shops throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area, with free patterns, prizes, and plenty of reasons for a quilting road trip. Be sure to stop by Linda’s to pick up your passport and map, collect our free block, and see what other goodies we have waiting for you. Just remember, you’ll need to visit us in person to get the block!
New to Shop Hopping? Here’s How It Works
If you’ve never done a shop hop before, it’s one of the best traditions in quilting. Each participating shop stamps your passport when you visit, and the map helps you plan your route across the metroplex. Most hoppers break the shops into regions and tackle a few per day — it turns errand-running into a full-on quilting adventure. Along the way you’ll collect free patterns and blocks unique to each shop, and completed passports are typically your entry into the prize drawings. Bring a friend, plan your snack stops, and don’t forget to leave room in the trunk for fabric.

A Busy Couple of Weeks Ahead
And speaking of quilting adventures, I’m getting everything ready for my virtual class in New York this Saturday. I’m excited to teach, share some quilting knowledge, and spend the day with another great group of quilters.
Then next week, it’s RETREAT TIME! I’m really looking forward to unplugging for a bit and actually getting to work on some of my own projects. Yes, I do occasionally get to quilt just for me! 😂 I’m packing up my projects now, and I’m ready for some sewing time.
