Superior MicroQuilter 100wt Polyester Thread
MicroQuilter is Superior Threads' ultra-fine 100-weight 2-ply polyester — the lightest, finest thread in their entire lineup. At 100 weight it's significantly finer than even the 60wt Bottom Line, producing stitches that virtually disappear into the fabric and allow the quilting design itself to do the visual work. This is the thread of choice for micro-stippling, wholecloth work, and any project where the thread should be seen as little as possible — just the stitch definition and the shadow it casts.
Why 100wt for Longarm?
The ultra-fine construction runs through the needle and bobbin with minimal friction, enabling high-speed micro-stippling and very tight stipple grids without thread buildup or tension issues. The polyester construction means consistent tensile strength even at the finest weight — no breaking, no skipped stitches. Available in 30 solid colours from natural white through black, covering the full working range a longarm studio needs.
