Fiber: 100% polyester, bonded to resist fiber migration and bearding
Loft: Medium-high — noticeably puffier than cotton or 80/20 battings
Quilting distance: Up to 8–10" apart — far more open than cotton battings allow
It mimics the soft, lofty feel of down filling while being fully hypoallergenic and machine washable — ideal for quilts for children and allergy-sensitive recipients.
How far apart can I quilt with it?
Up to 8–10 inches — which also makes it excellent for tied quilts and knotted comforters where dense quilting isn't wanted.
How does the loft compare to cotton batting?
Noticeably higher — quilting designs stand out with real depth and dimension. If you want a flat, antique look, choose a cotton or 80/20 batting instead.
Does it work on a longarm?
Yes — quilt at a slightly slower speed to manage the loft. Pantographs and free-motion designs develop beautiful texture on it.
Is it warm?
Yes — the loft traps heat well, so it suits cooler climates. For hot climates, a thinner cotton batting breathes better.
