Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes of Warm & Natural package batting are available?
Warm & Natural is available in crib (45" x 60"), throw (60" x 60"), twin (72" x 90"), full/double (81" x 96"), queen (90" x 108"), and king (120" x 120") sizes. Check the product listing for currently available sizes.
Is package batting the same quality as roll batting?
Yes — Warm & Natural package batting is the same product as the roll batting, simply pre-cut to standard quilt sizes for convenience. The fiber content, construction, and loft are identical.
Does Warm & Natural shrink?
Warm & Natural shrinks approximately 3–5% on first washing when not pre-washed. This shrinkage creates the beloved slightly crinkled antique-quilt appearance. Pre-wash to prevent shrinkage if a flat finish is desired.
Can I use Warm & Natural for a longarm quilt?
Yes — Warm & Natural is widely used on longarms. The scrim provides stability during loading. Recommended maximum stitch spacing is 10" — easily achieved with most all-over quilting designs.
Is Warm & Natural hypoallergenic?
Warm & Natural is 100% cotton with no chemical treatments for whitening. Sensitive individuals who prefer natural fibers and minimal processing often prefer Warm & Natural over bleached or treated batting alternatives.
