Description
Choice Supreme 80/20 cut from the 60" width in whole yards. Order one unit for each yard: add 4 to your cart and you get 4 yards of 60" wide batting, cut and shipped as one continuous piece. The 60" width covers tops up to about 56" on the narrow side with the usual 4" of extra batting, which suits crib quilts, throws, wall hangings and smaller projects.
Choice Supreme is an 80% cotton / 20% polyester batting from Choice Fabrics, made in the USA. It pairs the softness of cotton with the durability of polyester, needs no pre-washing, and works for hand or machine quilting with stitch spacing up to 8".

How many yards to order from the 60" width
Each unit is one yard (36") of 60" wide batting, and multiple yards ship as one continuous piece. The cut is turned whichever way needs fewer yards; yardage is rounded up to whole yards and assumes no waste.
Compare and choose
- How does ordering by the yard work?
- Each unit is one yard (36") of 60" wide batting. If you need 4 yards, add 4 to your cart; multiple yards are cut and shipped as one continuous piece.
- How many yards do I need for a throw or crib quilt?
- A 60" x 72" throw needs 2 yards with the 60" across the width. A 45" x 60" crib quilt also needs 2 yards, because 60" turned across the width leaves a 45" length, just over one yard.
- Can I make a twin or queen quilt from the 60" width?
- Not in one piece. Twin and larger tops are wider than 60", so you would need to join two lengths. The 93" width covers twin, full and standard queen cuts without a seam. Choice Supreme 93" by the yard
- Is there a pre-cut crib size?
- Yes. The Choice Supreme crib package is a single 46.5" x 60" piece of the same 80/20 batting, sized for one crib quilt. Choice Supreme crib package
- Choice Supreme 80/20 vs Hobbs Heirloom 80/20: which should I buy?
- Both are 80% cotton / 20% polyester. Hobbs Heirloom is about 1/8" loft, shrinks 3-5% and should be quilted within 4". Choice Supreme can be stitched up to 8" apart, so it gives you more freedom for open, widely spaced quilting. Hobbs Heirloom is the 80/20 we stock ourselves, in 96" and 120" rolls, by the yard and in packages. Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 96" by the yard
- Do I need to pre-wash Choice Supreme?
- No. It is ready to use straight from the package or roll, with no pre-washing needed.
