The batting is 20" x 94", which covers runners up to about 16" x 90". It also works for bed runners and other long, narrow pieces.

My runner is wider than 16". What should I buy?

Buy one yard of the 93" width by the yard: that gives a 93" x 36" piece, enough for runners up to about 32" x 89".

Can I use it for hot pads or a microwave bowl cozy?

No. Choice Supreme is 20% polyester, which is not microwave-safe, and it is not a heat-resistant batting. Use Wrap-N-Zap for microwave cozies and Insul-Bright for hot pads and trivets.
