Description

Duet Fuse II is a 100% polyester, needle-punched batting with heat-sensitive adhesive on both sides. One press bonds it to the fabric on both faces, giving a stable, low-loft layer for strip projects without pinning.

This roll is cut 2-1/4" wide and 20 yards long, ready for strip-wrapped rugs, bag straps and handles, soft sculptures and quilted accessories. It is also used in quilts, garments and crafts.

The precut used for Auntie's Two Camden Bag pattern is the same Duet Fuse II, also 2-1/4" wide: Duet Fuse II Camden Bag Precut.

What one 2-1/4" x 20 yd strip roll covers

720" continuous strip
2-1/4" x 20 yd
~17 42" fabric strips
2-1/4" x 42"
~16 44" fabric strips
2-1/4" x 44"
~40% of a 40-strip jelly roll
40 strips x 44"

20 yards = 720" of strip. Counts are for strips cut across the width of fabric (42"-44"), the way jelly-roll strips are cut; approximate, assumes no waste.

Compare and choose

How far does one 20-yard roll go?
20 yards is 720" of 2-1/4" strip. That covers about 16-17 fabric strips cut 42"-44" across the width of fabric.
What does double-sided fusible mean?
Duet Fuse II has heat-sensitive adhesive on both sides, so a single press bonds fabric to the top and bottom at once. That stabilizes strip-wrapped rugs, bag straps and quilted pieces without pins.
Duet Fuse II vs Pellon 987F fusible fleece strips: what is the difference?
Both are polyester. Duet Fuse II is a needle-punched batting that fuses on both sides; Pellon 987F is a fusible fleece that fuses on one side and comes pre-cut 2-1/2" wide. Use Duet Fuse II when you want both fabric layers bonded at once. Pellon 987F strips 2.5" x 25 yd
Duet Fuse II vs Flex-Foam strips for bag straps?
Flex-Foam is a foam layer between two fabrics, fusible on one side, and gives bag straps and handles more structure. Duet Fuse II is a low-loft fusible batting with a softer, more flexible hand. Flex-Foam strip 2.25" x 20 yd
Can I use Duet Fuse II in a microwave bowl cozy or hot pad?
No. It is 100% polyester with a heat-activated adhesive, so it is not microwave safe. Use 100% cotton batting with no scrim, or Pellon Wrap-N-Zap, with cotton fabric and thread. Pellon Wrap-N-Zap
