Description
Quilt-Tee Fusible from The Gypsy Quilter is a 100% cotton woven fusible for t-shirt quilts. Fused to the back of a knit t-shirt, it takes out the stretch while keeping the softness, so the shirt cuts and sews like quilting cotton: no puckers, no wobbly seams, and the pieces keep a crisp shape when you add quilting cottons to the project.
Lay the fusible side against the back of the shirt and press with a hot iron, then cut out your block. The bond is permanent and holds up to repeated washing or dry cleaning. This is one 60" x 72" sheet, enough to cut blocks for a typical t-shirt quilt in whatever size the shirts call for.

Compare and choose
- Why stabilize t-shirts before quilting?
- Knit stretches and curls, so unstabilized blocks distort when cut, pieced and quilted. A woven fusible removes the stretch while keeping the shirt soft, so the blocks sew like quilting cotton and match the cotton sashing.
- Quilt-Tee vs HeatnBond EZ Tee: which should I buy?
- Both are lightweight 100% cotton woven fusibles made for t-shirt quilts, and both come in a 60" x 72" sheet. EZ Tee also comes in black and on a 14" x 25 ft roll. Pick by format and color; the job is the same. HeatnBond EZ Tee White 60" x 72"
- Do I fuse before or after cutting the block?
- Fuse first, then cut. Rough-cut the shirt a little larger than the block, fuse Quilt-Tee to the back, let it cool, and then trim to size so the edges stay crisp.
- How many blocks will one sheet make?
- Roughly 12 blocks finishing at 16", 20 at 12" or 30 at 10", cutting each with seam allowance and no waste. Large chest designs need bigger blocks, so plan your layout first.
- What batting goes with a t-shirt quilt?
- Keep it low loft so the quilt stays soft and drapes: a cotton or 80/20 batting in a pre-cut package sized to the quilt. Heavy polyester makes a stiff, heavy t-shirt quilt. Shop pre-cut batting packages
