Description
Bosal Heat Moldable Double Sided Fusible Plus is a stiff non-woven stabilizer that softens with heat so you can mold it into a shape, then holds that shape as it cools. Fusible on both sides, it bonds fabric to the outside and lining to the inside, so fabric bowls, boxes, vases, kids' crafts and costume pieces come out firm and covered in one step.
This is a 9" x 12" sheet, enough for a small bowl, a box or a trial piece. For larger projects, the same material comes in a 20" x 36" piece; for shaping without adhesive, there is a sew-in heat-moldable version. It is not microwave safe.

Compare and choose
- How do I mold it?
- Heat it until it softens, shape it over a form, and hold it until it cools and sets. Bosal's directions for the larger sheet of this material call for a few seconds of heat: 15 to 20 seconds with the iron on its lowest setting, or a hair dryer or steam iron. Test on a scrap first.
- Double-sided fusible or sew-in heat-moldable?
- Double-sided fusible (this sheet) bonds fabric to both faces with the iron, so the piece is covered and ready to shape. The sew-in version has no adhesive; you stitch fabric to it, which suits hats, handbags and pieces you want to quilt. Bosal Heat Moldable sew-in 20" x 36"
- Heat-moldable vs Fast2Fuse or Fuse-N-Shape: what is the difference?
- All are stiff non-wovens fusible on both sides. Fast2Fuse and Pellon Fuse-N-Shape make flat, rigid panels that you sew into shapes. Heat-moldable stabilizer can be softened and curved into a bowl or vase shape and then sets firm, so choose it for rounded, sculpted pieces. Fast2Fuse Heavyweight 15" x 18"
- Is a fabric bowl made with this microwave safe?
- No. It is a fusible synthetic stabilizer and is not microwave safe. For microwave bowl cozies, use 100% cotton batting with cotton thread, or Pellon Wrap-N-Zap.
