Description
Bosal In-R-Form single-sided fusible foam, precut into eight 5" x 8" pieces for the Leaf/Heart Wreath pattern, PQD-213. The pattern is not included. The foam is laminated to napped tricot, so it is soft, formable and easy to stitch, and it is needle friendly.
It is fusible on one side only, so fuse the shaped fabric to the foam and finish the back with lining or a second fabric. For other projects the same single-sided foam comes as 18" x 58" sheets, and as 6" x 6" squares packaged for a Poorhouse Quilt Designs pattern.
In-R-Form is a polyester foam with fusible adhesive, so finished pieces are not microwave-safe.

Compare and choose
- Is the pattern included?
- No. This is the precut stabilizer only. It is sized for the Poorhouse Quilt Designs Leaf/Heart Wreath pattern (PQD-213), which is sold separately.
- Can I cut my own pieces from a full sheet instead?
- Yes. The precut saves time and waste for one project, but if you make several bags or want a different size, buy the matching In-R-Form sheet and cut your own pieces from the pattern templates. In-R-Form single-sided off-white 18" x 58"
- Which side of single-sided In-R-Form is fusible?
- The fusible side has a slightly rough, glossy feel from the adhesive; the other side is soft napped tricot. Place the fabric wrong side down on the fusible side and press. If you are unsure, test a corner with a scrap of fabric first.
- How do I fuse In-R-Form?
- Lay the fabric wrong side down on the fusible side and press with a hot iron, following the directions on the package. Lift and set the iron down rather than gliding, so the foam and fabric do not shift, until the fabric is bonded across the whole piece. Test on a scrap first, and let it cool before handling so the bond sets.
- In-R-Form vs Soft and Stable vs Flex-Foam: which foam should I use?
- All three give bags structure without stiffness. In-R-Form is Bosal's foam laminated to a soft knit and comes sew-in, single-sided fusible or double-sided fusible. Soft and Stable from ByAnnie is a sew-in foam sold in 58" long pieces. Pellon Flex-Foam comes on 20" x 10 yard bolts in sew-in, one-sided and two-sided fusible versions. Pick by pattern: if the pattern calls for one by name, buy that one. Soft and Stable white 18" x 58"
- Can I use In-R-Form in a microwave bowl cozy or hot pad?
- No. In-R-Form is a polyester foam with fusible adhesive, and foam and fusibles are not microwave-safe. For microwave bowl cozies use 100% cotton batting with cotton thread, and for hot pads use a heat-resistant insulated batting with cotton batting.
