Both are needle-punched cotton/polyester blends that shrink about 3-5%. Quilters Select Blend is built on a light scrim, so it can be quilted up to 8-1/2" apart and resists stretching under heavy quilting or embellishment. Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 has no scrim, runs about 1/8" loft, and should be quilted within 4". Choose the Select Blend for open, wide-spaced designs; choose Hobbs for a softer, more drapey hand.

Does the 122" x 122" cut fit a king quilt?

Yes. It covers king tops up to about 118" square with margin, and a full 120" king with very little to spare. For an oversized king, buy off the 122" x 20-yard roll so you can cut the length you need.

Quilters Select Blend is a soft, durable cotton/polyester batting for machine and hand quilters who want to quilt and embellish without the batting distorting. The fibers are needle-punched onto a light scrim, which controls stretching and movement under the needle, and the smooth loft gives little resistance as you stitch.

This king cut measures 122" x 122", sized for king tops up to about 118" square with a margin on each side. Longarm quilters who want 4" or more extra on every side for loading should size up one cut.
