How does Stitch-N-Steam work?

Lay it on the wrong side of the fabric and stitch a pattern through both layers: grids, wavy lines, or a quilting design. Hold a steam iron just above the surface, or steam it, and the texturizer shrinks in all directions, gathering the fabric between the stitches.

How much will my fabric shrink?

A lot, which is the point, so cut your fabric and texturizer larger than the finished piece and trim to size after steaming. Closer stitching gives smaller, tighter texture; wider spacing gives bigger puffs. Test on a scrap with your fabric and stitch spacing first.

Is it the same as TextureMagic?

It does the same job and is comparable: a high-shrink polyester you stitch behind fabric and shrink with steam. Follow the same stitch-then-steam method.

Can I wash the textured fabric?

Yes. Stitch-N-Steam is safe to wash and dry once the texture is set.
