Description

T-Shirt Quilt Stabilizer is a lightweight, single-sided fusible non-woven on an easy-cut 12" roll, sized for the most common t-shirt quilt block. The 5-yard roll makes 15 blocks at 11-7/8" square, so you can cut, fuse and trim without wrestling a big sheet of interfacing.

Once fused it is soft and invisible on the back of the shirt, it is easy to quilt through, and it does not gum up the needle. For larger blocks or full shirt backs, the T-Shirt Project Fusible Interfacing 60" x 72" sheet is the woven cotton alternative.

Compare and choose

How many t-shirt blocks does one roll make?
The 12" x 5 yard roll makes 15 blocks at 11-7/8" square. A typical t-shirt quilt uses 12 to 30 shirts, so plan on one roll per 15 blocks of that size.
Will the stabilizer make my t-shirt quilt stiff?
No. It is lightweight and stays soft on the back of the shirt, so the finished quilt keeps a knit drape. It also quilts easily and does not gum up the needle.
Do I need this or the 60" x 72" sheet?
Use this roll when your blocks are 12" or smaller: it is already the right width and cuts quickly. Choose the 60" x 72" woven cotton sheet for larger blocks, whole-shirt backs or mixed block sizes. T-Shirt Project Fusible 60" x 72"
Which side is fusible?
One side carries the adhesive and usually feels slightly rough or textured. Place it against the wrong side of the t-shirt, cover with a pressing cloth, and press following the package directions. Avoid pressing directly on screen prints.
What are the alternatives to this t-shirt stabilizer?
HeatnBond EZ-Tee comes on a 14" x 25 ft roll and is a woven fusible; Stabili-Tee and Gypsy Quilter Quilt-Tee are 60" x 72" fusible sheets. All do the same job; this roll is the quickest for standard 12" blocks. HeatnBond EZ-Tee 14" x 25 ft
