Hi Bestie,
Sometimes, making the quilt isn't the part that takes all the time. Getting ready to make it is.
Choosing coordinating fabrics. Measuring. Cutting. Trimming. Squaring. It all happens before the first stitch.
That's where pre-cuts come in.
With convenient sizes and coordinating fabrics already bundled together, you can skip some of the repetitive prep and get closer to the part you actually enjoy.
It's Not Just About Saving Time. It's About Where You Spend It.
Would you rather spend another hour cutting similar pieces, or arranging blocks, experimenting with placement, and watching your quilt come together?
Pre-cuts leave more of your quilting time for the creative decisions that make the finished quilt yours. And because every piece in a bundle comes from the same designer collection, the coordinating work is already done — no second-guessing whether that print really goes with the others.

Here's the Trick: Match the Pre-Cut to the Pattern
Each pre-cut format is really just a head start on a different kind of cutting:
Jelly rolls (2½" strips) — perfect for strip piecing, log cabins, bargello quilts, and binding. If your pattern is built on strips, the roll has already done the work.
Charm packs (5" squares) — ideal for patchwork, four-patches, half-square triangles, and scrappy baby quilts. One pack gives you a whole collection's worth of variety in ready-to-sew squares.
Layer cakes (10" squares) — big enough to subcut into your own smaller shapes while still skipping the yardage stage. Great for larger blocks and quick throws.
Fat quarter bundles (18" × 21") — the most flexible of the bunch. When your pattern needs a mix of shapes and sizes from each fabric, fat quarters give you room to cut what you need.
Remember,
The best pre-cut isn't simply the prettiest bundle — it's the one that works with the quilt you want to make.
Start with your pattern, look at the shapes and sizes you'll need most, then choose the pre-cut that gets you closest.
You'll spend less time making unnecessary cuts and more time doing what you enjoy: turning beautiful fabric into something uniquely yours.
Happy Quilting!
From Corey.
