Can I use this in a laser printer?

No. Barely There is for inkjet printers only. Laser printers run hot enough to melt fusible adhesive inside the printer.

Printable sheets or fusible web on a roll?

Printable sheets save tracing: print the shapes, fuse and cut. A roll such as Wonder Fuse or Lite Steam-A-Seam 2 is cheaper per inch and handles shapes larger than a letter-size sheet, but you trace each shape by hand.

Will it make layered applique stiff?

It is ultra lightweight, so it adds very little body even in layers. For the softest result, cut out the center of larger shapes and fuse just a ring around the edge.

Do I still need to stitch around the applique?

The bond is permanent and machine washable, so stitching is optional for wall hangings. For quilts that will be washed often, a blanket, zigzag or straight stitch around the edges adds insurance and finishes the edge.

Barely There is an ultra-lightweight, printable fusible web for applique. Print your applique shapes straight onto the sheets with an inkjet printer, fuse them to the back of your fabric, cut on the lines and fuse the pieces in place. It suits single-layer and layered applique, where a heavy web would make the stack stiff.

The bond is permanent and machine washable, and the web is acid free. The package holds 15 pre-cut 8-1/2" x 11" sheets. For inkjet printers only; do not run it through a laser printer.
