Description
This package holds two precut ovals of Bosal Craf-Tex Double-Sided Fusible stabilizer, cut to be the bottom supports in Auntie's Two Patterns Perfectly Practical Bag (AT626; pattern not included). Craf-Tex is a heavyweight, stiff, non-woven stabilizer that fuses on both sides, so the outer fabric and the lining press straight onto it and the bag bottom stays flat and firm.
If you are making a different bag or want to cut your own shapes, Craf-Tex Plus Double-Sided Fusible 20" x 36" is the same kind of heavyweight stabilizer by the piece. For a sew-in alternative, use Craf-Tex sew-in craft strips.

- No. The package is two precut stabilizer ovals only. The Auntie's Two Patterns Perfectly Practical Bag pattern (AT626) is sold separately.
- Double-sided or single-sided fusible: which do I need for a bag bottom?
- Double-sided lets you fuse the outer fabric to one side and the lining to the other, so the bottom is finished and firm with no loose layers. Single-sided fuses to one fabric only; use it when the other side will be sewn or when you are stiffening a single layer. Craf-Tex Plus single-sided 20" x 36"
- How do I fuse a double-sided heavyweight stabilizer?
- Fuse one side at a time with a press cloth and steam, holding the iron in place rather than sliding it. Let the first side cool before turning over to fuse the second. Test on a scrap first.
