Description
Stitch2O is a stitcher's favorite water-soluble topping. Lay it on top of the item you are embroidering and it keeps stitches from sinking into the nap of towels, fleece, velvet and other piled fabrics, so satin columns and lettering stay crisp.
It will not stick to your embroidery foot, and its textured finish makes it easy to handle. After stitching, the excess tears away easily, and you remove the remnants by dabbing with water. The opaque 12" x 10 yard roll suits most home embroidery hoops.

Compare and choose
- Stitch2O vs Sulky Solvy: which topping should I use?
- Both are water-soluble toppings that keep stitches on top of the nap. Solvy is a clear film you can also trace on; Stitch2O is textured and opaque, will not stick to the foot, and tears away easily. Use Solvy if you need to see through it; use Stitch2O for straightforward topping. Sulky Solvy 12" x 9 1/2 yd
- Do I need a topping on towels?
- Yes, for most designs. Without one, loops poke up between stitches and fine lettering disappears into the pile. Hoop the towel with a backing, lay the topping over the top, and stitch.
- Do I still need a backing?
- Yes. A topping keeps stitches from sinking but does not support the fabric. Use a tear-away backing on towels and a cut-away on stretchy fleece and knits.
- How do I remove the leftover bits?
- Tear the excess away from the design, then dab the remnants with a damp cloth or cotton swab. They dissolve with water; there is no need to wash the whole item.
- What are the alternatives?
- Our wash-away topping 12" x 10 yard roll and Pellon 553 Sol-U-Film Lite do the same job. For a self-adhesive topping on plush fabrics, Bosal Stick-Stitch-N-Rinse comes in sheets. Wash-Away Topping 12" x 10 yd
