Which side of In-R-Form is fusible?

These pieces are single-sided fusible foam, so only one side carries the adhesive. Place the fusible side against the wrong side of the fabric and press from the fabric side, following the pressing directions in the pattern and on the In-R-Form packaging.

Can I cut my own pieces from yardage instead?

Yes. In-R-Form single-sided fusible also comes as a 58" x 36" piece, which leaves foam for other projects. The precuts save time and guarantee the sizes match the pattern.

In-R-Form vs Soft and Stable: what is the difference?

Both are foam stabilizers for bags. In-R-Form comes fusible, so it bonds to the fabric with an iron; Soft and Stable is sew-in and is quilted to the fabric. This pattern is cut for In-R-Form.

Can I use these bags in the microwave?

No. Foam stabilizer is polyester, and polyester is not microwave safe, so do not use it in bowl cozies or anything that goes in the microwave. It is fine for hot pads and trivets that stay on the counter; for microwave projects use 100% cotton batting and cotton thread.

This kit is six pre-cut pieces of Bosal In-R-Form single-sided fusible foam stabilizer, cut for all three bags in the Storage Solution Bucket Bag design by Brenda Miller of Among Brenda's Quilts, pattern AQB-198. The pattern is not included.

Precuts save you tracing and cutting foam, and every piece is sized to the pattern. Fuse each piece to the wrong side of its exterior panel, then construct the bags as the pattern directs. The foam gives the buckets padded walls that stand up on their own.
