Description
This is the Downtown size of Bosal In-R-Form Plus Double-Sided Fusible stabilizer, cut 18" x 58" for the Downtown Bag in Auntie's Two City Bag patterns (pattern not included). In-R-Form is a foam stabilizer laminated to napped tricot and fusible on both sides, so you press the outer fabric to one face and the lining to the other and the bag holds its shape without quilting. It is sized for the city bag patterns, but it works in any purse pattern.
The three precuts match the three bags: Uptown 54" x 58" (493B-50), Midtown 36" x 58" (493B-51) and Downtown 18" x 58" (493B-52, this package). The Downtown is the smallest of the three and a good way to try double-sided fusible foam on one small bag. Made in the USA.

- Is the pattern included?
- No. The package is the stabilizer only. The Uptown City Bag pattern (AT650) and the other Auntie's Two City Bag patterns are sold separately.
- Is this different from In-R-Form Plus 18" x 58" yardage?
- It is the same double-sided fusible In-R-Form in the same 18" x 58" size, packaged for the Downtown Bag. If you are not making the city bag, either one does the job. In-R-Form Plus 18" x 58"
- Double-sided fusible foam vs Soft and Stable: which should I use?
- In-R-Form Plus is fusible on both sides, so the outer fabric and lining press straight on and nothing shifts. Soft and Stable from ByAnnie is a sew-in foam: you baste or quilt your fabric to it, which takes longer but lets you quilt the panels and reposition pieces. For a quick, crisp bag, use the fusible; for quilted bag panels, use sew-in. Soft and Stable white 18" x 58"
- How do I fuse double-sided foam without crushing it?
- Fuse one side at a time with a press cloth, pressing and lifting rather than sliding the iron so the foam keeps its body. Let each side cool before you turn it over, and test the heat on a corner first.
