Description
OESD Fuse and Fleece is a lightweight, white fusible fleece that adds soft loft to embroidery and sewing. Fused to the back of a woven fabric, it creates raised loft in embroidered items and adds texture to tote bags, quilt blocks and trapunto work, without the bulk of a full batting.
The 20" x 5 yard roll is the widest, for larger embroidered panels, tote bag fronts and trapunto on bigger blocks. It is fusible on one side and made for use on woven fabrics. It is not microwave safe.

Compare and choose
- Which width should I buy?
- Buy for the largest piece you will cut. The 10" roll suits blocks and small hoops, the 15" covers most hoops and smaller bag panels, and the 20" handles larger panels and tote fronts. The fleece is the same in all three widths. Fuse and Fleece 10" x 5 yd
- Fuse and Fleece vs Pellon 987F fusible fleece?
- Both are lightweight, one-sided fusible fleeces. Pellon 987F comes in larger cuts (22" x 36", 45" x 60" and 45" bolts) and jelly roll strips, so it suits whole bags and quilted projects. Fuse and Fleece comes on narrow rolls sized for embroidery and blocks. Choose by the size of your pieces. Pellon 987F 22" x 36"
- Can I use it on knits?
- OESD makes it for woven fabrics. On knits, stabilize first with a soft knit-friendly backing, or use a woven fusible such as OESD Fusible Woven before adding loft. OESD Fusible Woven White 15"
- How do I use it for trapunto or raised embroidery?
- Fuse the fleece to the wrong side of the fabric before hooping, then stitch with your usual stabilizer under it. Outline and quilting stitches flatten the areas around the motif, so the unstitched areas puff up.
- Is fusible fleece safe for hot pads?
- No. Polyester fleece is not a heat barrier and is not microwave safe. For hot pads and pot holders, use Insul-Bright with 100% cotton batting. Insul-Bright 45" x 1 yd
