Description
Pellon 800 Clear-Fuse is a clear-backed fusible web with a high-strength adhesive. It does the same job as 805 Wonder-Under, bonding fabric to fabric or to any porous surface such as wood or cardboard, but the clear carrier lets you see the fabric print through it while you trace and position appliqué shapes. The 20" x 10 yard bolt is the format for people who appliqué regularly or run a shop or classroom.
Clear-Fuse works with any weight of fabric and has excellent bond strength, so it is a good pick for pieces that will be washed and handled. It has no grain, so you can cut shapes in any direction without waste. Finished items can be washed and dried according to the fabric care requirements.

- Steam-A-Seam 2 is a pressure-sensitive web: it sticks temporarily so you can reposition shapes before the final press. Clear-Fuse is a straight iron-on web with no tack until you press it, which makes it quicker for simple shapes and a little cheaper per yard on the bolt. - Can I sew through Clear-Fuse after fusing?
- Yes. It is meant for machine-stitched edges on appliqué. Like any fusible web, keep stitching to the fused areas and use a fresh needle if you notice adhesive build-up.
- Will Clear-Fuse hold heavy fabrics like denim or canvas?

- Does Clear-Fuse have a grain or a right side?
- No grain, so you can cut in any direction. The web side goes against the wrong side of your fabric and the clear carrier faces the iron; peel the carrier after the piece cools.
- Is a 20" x 10 yard bolt too much for a home sewist?
