Description
Pellon 725 Heavy-Duty Wonder-Under is a paper-backed fusible web with twice the adhesive of original Wonder-Under. It turns any fabric into a fusible fabric and bonds fabric to fabric or to another porous surface such as wood or cardboard. Reach for it on denim, canvas and other heavy fabrics, and whenever an appliqué or no-sew project needs extra holding power. It has no grain, so it can be cut and applied in any direction.
The 17" x 10 yard bolt is the economical format for anyone who does a lot of appliqué or fabric-covered craft projects. The finished item can be washed or dry-cleaned according to the fabric's care requirements. For quilting-weight cottons and appliqué you plan to stitch through, regular Pellon 805 Wonder-Under is lighter and easier on the needle; for sheers and light fabrics where paper-backed web would show, Pellon 800 Clear-Fuse is the clear option.

- Heavy-Duty has twice the adhesive. Use it on denim, canvas, upholstery weights and for bonding fabric to wood or cardboard, where regular web lets go. Regular 805 is the choice for quilting cottons and for appliqué you will stitch around, since the lighter web keeps the fabric soft and gums the needle less. - Can I sew through Heavy-Duty Wonder-Under?
- You can, but the heavier adhesive is harder on needles and can build up on them during dense stitching. It is made for no-sew holding power on heavy fabrics. For appliqué you plan to satin-stitch or quilt through heavily, regular 805 Wonder-Under is the easier choice.
- How do I use paper-backed fusible web?
- Trace the shape on the paper side, press the web side to the wrong side of the fabric, cut out the shape, peel the paper, position, and press to the base following the package directions. Pre-wash fabrics without fabric softener so the bond holds, and let pieces cool before moving them.
