SF101 is a woven cotton fusible that adds body while keeping the fabric's drape; it is what most bag patterns call for on the outer fabric. Craft-Fuse is a non-woven that adds more stiffness per layer, which is useful on linings, bases and pockets. Many bag makers use both: SF101 on the exterior, Craft-Fuse or fusible fleece where they want structure.

Is Craft-Fuse the same as HeatnBond VersaCraft?

They are competing products: both are firm, single-sided fusible non-wovens for crafts and bags. VersaCraft comes in a 2-yard pack; Craft-Fuse comes on a 10-yard bolt, which is the better value if you use it often. Either works for the same projects.

Which side of Craft-Fuse is fusible?

The side with the slightly rough, dotted adhesive. Place it against the wrong side of the fabric, cover with a press cloth and press section by section rather than sliding the iron. Pellon does not print a temperature on this bolt, so test on a scrap first.

Can I use two layers for a stiffer project?
