Description
Kimberbell Iron-Away Topping is a lightweight heat-away topping on a 12" x 10 yard roll. Lay it on top of plush, high-pile fabrics such as terrycloth and fleece before stitching so the stitches do not sink into the pile. A slight texture lets it grip the fabric.
There is no water involved: after stitching, pull the excess away from the design, cover with a pressing cloth and press with a hot iron for about ten seconds. The remaining topping melts and transfers to the pressing cloth with no residue on the project. For small detailed areas, a heat tool held one to two inches away can melt the leftover bits. That makes it the topping for items you do not want to wet, such as finished towels with appliqué or projects with water-sensitive fabrics.
Place the topping before you stitch and hold it in place with Kimberbell paper tape during embroidery. If you would rather rinse a topping away, use Kimberbell Wash-Away Topping.

- How do I remove Iron-Away Topping?
