Description
Make It Simpler Fusible Interfacing is a lightweight non-woven fusible interfacing on a handy 1-1/2" x 15 yard roll. Quilters and sewists use it to stabilize and reinforce wherever a narrow strip does the job: preventing stretch along bias edges of quilt blocks, stabilizing quilt tops, and fusing leftover batting pieces together into one usable piece.
Because it is pre-cut to width, there is no cutting strips from yardage. Press it fusible side down over the area you want to stabilize. For joining batting scraps, butt the edges together with no overlap and fuse the tape across the seam.
Finished projects are machine washable in warm water, machine dryable on low and dry-cleanable.

Compare and choose
- Can I use it to join batting scraps?
- Yes. Butt the two batting edges together without overlapping, lay the tape across the seam fusible side down, and press. The joined batting quilts as one piece. Use a batting tape or this interfacing tape rather than overlapping, which leaves a ridge. Heat Press Batting Together 1-1/2" x 15 yd
- How does this compare with batting seam tapes?
- Batting tapes such as Heat Press Batting Together, Splendid Seam Tape, HeatnBond EZ-Seam and Moda fusible batting tape are made just for joining batting. Make It Simpler is a general-purpose lightweight fusible interfacing in tape form, so it also stabilizes bias edges and quilt tops. If you only join batting, a dedicated batting tape is fine; if you want one roll for several jobs, use this. Splendid Seam Tape 1-1/2" x 10 yd
- How do I stop bias edges from stretching?
- Press a strip of the tape along the bias edge on the wrong side, inside the seam allowance, before you sew the block. The fused edge cannot stretch as you handle and sew it.
- Which side is fusible?
- The fusible side has a slightly rough or shiny feel from the adhesive dots; the other side is smooth. Place the fusible side against the fabric or batting and press. Test on a scrap first if you are unsure.
- Is it washable?
- Yes. It is machine washable in warm water, dryable on low and dry-cleanable.
