Description
Stiff Stuff is packaged yardage of a firm, flexible, dense sew-in interfacing for bags, bins, crafts, table runners and placemats. It gives a project body that stands up on its own but still bends, and it stitches through on a home machine.
One 20" x 40" piece makes one large bag: front, back, handles and bottom support. That is the same as eight 10" squares. Directions are included for a sew-in bag bottom support. The finished project can be machine washed and dried on low.

- How much does one package make?
- One 20" x 40" piece makes one large bag, front, back, handles and bottom support, or eight 10" squares for bins, placemats and small projects.
- Stiff Stuff vs Pellon Peltex: which is firmer?
- Peltex 70 is Pellon's ultra-firm sew-in, for projects that must hold a hard shape such as boxes. Stiff Stuff is firm but flexible, so a bag stays upright yet can still be folded. Choose Peltex for rigid structure and Stiff Stuff for bags and bins that should give a little. Pellon 70 Peltex Ultra-Firm
- Sew-in or fusible: why would I choose sew-in?
- Sew-in interfacing is not affected by heat, steam or washing, so it suits projects with vinyl, laminates or fabrics you do not want to press hard, and there is no fusing bond to fail. Baste it to the wrong side of the fabric inside the seam allowance.
- Can I wash a project made with Stiff Stuff?
- Yes. Machine wash and dry on low.
- What are the alternatives for firm bag structure?
- Pellon 926 Extra-Firm is a sew-in bolt for cutting many pieces. Timtex and Fast2Fuse are heavyweight craft interfacings for bowls, boxes and fabric postcards. Pellon 926 Extra-Firm sew-in
