Sulky Soft N Sheer is a lightweight, permanent cut-away stabilizer for embroidery on lightweight knits and wovens. Its stretch resistance keeps the fabric around the design from pulling or sagging during stitching, and because it stays in, it keeps doing that through washing and wearing. It is soft and sheer enough that it does not add a stiff patch behind the design. Sulky also calls it ideal for trapunto.

The 12" x 11 yard roll covers 4" x 4", 5" x 7" and 6" x 10" hoops, and an 8" x 12" hoop when the cut is turned. If you would rather fuse the backing to stop the fabric shifting in the hoop, Soft N Sheer Extra is one and a half times as heavy with an iron-on coating.
