Description
Single Sided Light Fusible Fleece is a 4oz, low-loft polyester fleece with fusible adhesive on one side, cut 45" x 72". It gives a slightly padded look and soft body to bags, garments, placemats and quilted crafts, and it fuses in place with an iron, so there is no basting.
It is needle-punched 100% polyester. Two yards is enough to interface the panels of a few bags or a set of placemats with room to spare.

Compare and choose
- Fusible fleece vs Pellon 987F: how do they compare?
- Both are one-sided fusible polyester fleeces with low loft for bags, placemats and crafts. Pellon 987F is a known standard in 22" x 36" and 45" x 60" packages and 10-yard bolts; this fleece is a 45" x 72" piece. If a pattern names 987F, either will do the job; use the size that wastes the least. Pellon 987F 45" x 60"
- Fusible fleece or foam for a bag?
- Fleece gives a soft, padded hand and some body but the bag will still slump. For a bag that stands on its own, use a foam stabilizer such as Pellon Flex-Foam or Bosal foam. Pellon Thermolam Plus fusible
- Can I use fusible fleece as quilt batting?
- For small projects such as placemats, runners and wall hangings, yes; it adds a little loft and skips basting. For a bed quilt choose a fusible batting made for quilts, such as Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 Fusible. Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 Fusible packages
- Is fusible fleece safe for hot pads or the microwave?
- No. Polyester fleece is not microwave-safe and is not a heat barrier. Use Insul-Bright with cotton batting for hot pads, and 100% cotton with no scrim for microwave bowl cozies. Insul-Bright 45" x 1 yd
- Which side is fusible?
- One side carries the adhesive; it usually feels slightly rough or beaded. Place that side against the wrong side of your fabric, press with an iron and let it cool before handling.
