Description
Buy this roll for white and pastel king quilts. At 124" wide it covers a 120" king top in one piece and gives queen tops a generous margin for longarm clamps. Thirty yards is about nine kings or twelve queens. If you never quilt kings, the 90" x 40 yd roll is the cheaper way to buy the same batting.
Warm & White is 100% purified cotton needle-punched through a thin polypropylene scrim. It is bright white with none of the cotton flecks that can shadow through white, pastel and tone-on-tone fabric, and it is the flattest, most stable white cotton we sell: no shifting, bunching or bearding, quilt or tie up to 10" apart. Slightly less lofty than Warm & Natural. No resins or glues.
Quilt straight from the roll; no pre-washing. The manufacturer rates this roll at about 3% shrinkage in a cold-water wash.

Compare and choose
- Do I need 124" for a king quilt?
- Yes, for one piece of batting. A king top is about 120" wide, so a 90" roll must be pieced. This roll covers it with 4" to spare and gives queens plenty of clamping margin. Warm & White 90" x 40 yd roll
- 124" roll or the King package?
- One white king quilt: the King package (124" x 120"), which ships anywhere. Several kings, or kings mixed with queens: the roll is far cheaper per quilt. Warm & White pre-cut packages (king 124" x 120")
- Warm & White 124" vs Quilters Dream Select White cotton 120" king roll?
- Both are white 100% cotton at king width. Dream Select White has no scrim, so it is softer and drapes more but needs closer quilting (to 8"). Warm & White has a polypropylene scrim, is firmer and flatter, 4" wider, and is rated to 10". For a soft white bed quilt, Dream Select; for stability, open designs or wall-size pieces, Warm & White. Quilters Dream Select White Cotton King roll
- Warm & White vs Warm & Natural: what is actually different?
- The cotton and the construction are the same: needle-punched on a polypropylene scrim, low loft, quilt up to 10" apart. Warm & White's cotton is purified, which removes the natural oils and flecks and leaves it bright white, slightly less lofty, and lower in shrinkage. Use Warm & White under white, pastel and light tone-on-tone tops; use Warm & Natural under everything else. Warm & Natural batting
- Warm & White vs Hobbs bleached cotton with scrim: which white cotton?
- Both are bleached or purified 100% cotton on a scrim, low loft, for light-colored quilts. Warm & White is the firmer, flatter batt and is rated for 10" stitch spacing; Hobbs is softer in the hand and should be quilted within 4". Choose Warm & White for wall hangings, white-on-white quilting with open areas, or anything that must stay square; choose Hobbs when drape matters more. Hobbs Bleached Heirloom Cotton with Scrim 96" roll
- Will white batting make my quilt look different from natural?
- Only under light fabrics, and that is the point. Under white, cream, pastel and low-volume tops, a cream batt with cotton flecks can show as a faint shadow or speckle; Warm & White keeps those fabrics looking clean. Under medium and dark fabrics you will not see a difference.
- Can I use Warm & White for microwave bowl cozies?
- No. Like Warm & Natural, it has a polypropylene scrim that can melt or scorch in the microwave. Use Pellon Wrap-N-Zap with cotton thread and fabric for anything microwaved. Pellon Wrap-N-Zap microwave-safe batting
- Do you ship batting rolls to Alaska or Hawaii?
- No. Rolls and boards ship only to the 48 contiguous states; orders from Alaska, Hawaii or outside the US are cancelled and refunded. Pre-cut packages ship to all locations. Shop packaged batting
