Description
A full case of Warm & White packages is for shops, guilds and longarmers who go through white batting in one standard size. Each case holds one size: 24 Craft (34" x 45"), 24 Baby (45" x 60"), 8 Twin (72" x 90"), 6 Full (90" x 96"), 6 Queen (90" x 108"), 4 King (124" x 120"), or 12 Jelly Roll strips (2.25" x 50 yards) for rugs, bowls and straps. If you would rather cut your own sizes, the 90" x 40 yd roll is the other bulk option.
Warm & White is Warm & Natural made with purified cotton: bright white, no cotton flecks to shadow through pale fabric, a little less lofty, and lower in shrinkage. It is needle-punched through a thin polypropylene scrim, weighs about 4 oz per square yard, will not separate, bunch, shift or beard, and can be quilted or tied up to 10" apart. No resins or glues.
This package batting is pre-shrunk; the manufacturer says to expect little to no measurable shrinkage in cold or warm water, so finished quilts stay smooth. Pre-washing is optional. Cases are shipped by the manufacturer.

- Case of packages or a 40-yard roll?
- Same size batt every time: the case. No cutting, no roll to store, each batt folded and labeled. Varied project sizes: the 90" x 40 yd roll wastes less and gives about 13 queen cuts or many more small ones. Warm & White 90" x 40 yd roll
- What are the Jelly Roll strips for?
- They are 2.25" wide strips of Warm & White, 50 yards to a roll, 12 rolls to a case. Wrap them with fabric strips for jelly-roll rugs, coiled bowls, baskets and bag straps. The case is a classroom and shop staple.
- Can I mix sizes in one case?
- No. Each case is one size. Order single packages for a mix, or two cases of the sizes you use most. Warm & White single packages
- Warm & White vs Warm & Natural: what is actually different?
- The cotton and the construction are the same: needle-punched on a polypropylene scrim, low loft, quilt up to 10" apart. Warm & White's cotton is purified, which removes the natural oils and flecks and leaves it bright white, slightly less lofty, and lower in shrinkage. - Warm & White vs Hobbs bleached cotton with scrim: which white cotton?
- Both are bleached or purified 100% cotton on a scrim, low loft, for light-colored quilts. Warm & White is the firmer, flatter batt and is rated for 10" stitch spacing; Hobbs is softer in the hand and should be quilted within 4". Choose Warm & White for wall hangings, white-on-white quilting with open areas, or anything that must stay square; choose Hobbs when drape matters more. - Will white batting make my quilt look different from natural?
- Only under light fabrics, and that is the point. Under white, cream, pastel and low-volume tops, a cream batt with cotton flecks can show as a faint shadow or speckle; Warm & White keeps those fabrics looking clean. Under medium and dark fabrics you will not see a difference.
- Can I use Warm & White for microwave bowl cozies?
