Why pair the membership with a batting roll?

Because a new member's first order is usually batting anyway, and Heirloom 80/20 96" is the roll we sell more of than anything else. Buying both together means the member discount starts working on your next order while you already have a full roll to quilt from.

Is the 96" roll wide enough for my quilts?

For everything through queen, yes. A queen top (about 90" x 108") fits with the 108" side running along the roll. A king top is 108" to 120" wide and does not fit in one piece; if you quilt kings regularly, see the 120" roll or the King-Size Starter Bundle.

Hobbs 80/20 vs Linda's Deluxe: which roll should a new member start with?

Heirloom 80/20 is the industry standard with published specs: 1/8" loft, 3-5% shrinkage, quilt within 4". Linda's Deluxe is our house blend, also made by Hobbs, with a fuller 1/4" loft. Start with Heirloom 80/20; it is what most clients expect. Try a yard of Deluxe later if you want more loft.

Can I give this as a gift?

Do you ship this bundle to Alaska or Hawaii?

The batting is our number one seller. Heirloom 80/20 is 80% cotton and 20% polyester, needle-punched so it stays put under the needle, with a soft hand, about 1/8" loft and a beautiful drape after its first wash. At 96" wide it covers everything through queen size, and 30 yards is roughly ten queen quilts. The yearly membership gives the best per-month value. Because it contains a batting roll, this bundle ships only to the 48 contiguous states.
