Description
Pellon ES114 Easy-Shaper is a non-woven fusible interfacing for light to mid-weight fabrics, on a 20" x 10-yard bolt in white. It is the one to reach for when a dress, blouse or skirt needs shape and support at the facings, collar and waistband without the crisp, shirt-like hand of a woven interfacing. It fuses well to challis, chambray, jersey, broadcloth and linen.
Because it is non-woven it has no grain, so pieces can be cut in any direction with little waste. For a knit that must keep stretching, use Easy-Knit instead; for crisp collars and bag panels use the woven SF101 Shape-Flex. We stock Easy-Shaper in white only; under dark, sheer fabric consider the black 911FF Featherweight.

- Easy-Shaper ES114 vs 911FF Featherweight: which should I buy?
- Both are non-woven polyester fusibles. 911FF is featherweight and nearly disappears, which suits sheers, blouses and anywhere you want the fabric to look untouched. Easy-Shaper has a little more body and is made to give a dress or skirt shape at the facings and waistband. - Easy-Shaper vs SF101 Shape-Flex?
- SF101 is a woven cotton fusible: crisp, stable and the standard for collars, cuffs and bags. Easy-Shaper is non-woven and softer, so it supports a dress without turning a soft fabric stiff. - Can I use Easy-Shaper on jersey?
- Yes, Pellon lists jersey among the fabrics it works with, and it is fine for a facing or neckline that does not need to stretch. If the whole piece must keep stretching, use the knit interfacing Easy-Knit instead. Pellon EK130 Easy-Knit 20" x 10 yd
- Does it have a grain?
- No. Non-woven interfacing has no grain, so you can lay pattern pieces in any direction and cut from the bolt with very little waste.
- Which side is the fusible side, and how do I apply it?
- The fusible side is the one with the slightly rough adhesive dots; the other side is smooth. Place the dotted side against the wrong side of your fabric, cover with a press cloth and press with firm pressure, lifting and moving the iron rather than sliding it. Test on a scrap of your fabric first.
- Is Easy-Shaper right for bag making?
- Only for soft linings or light pockets. Bags that need to stand up want a firmer product: SF101 for woven body, Craft-Fuse 808 for stiffness, or a foam stabilizer such as Flex-Foam. Pellon 808 Craft-Fuse 20" x 10 yd
