Description
Warm 80/20 is The Warm Company's cotton-poly blend: 80% natural clean cotton and 20% polyester, needle-punched into a lightweight, stable 100% cotton scrim. The cotton gives the breathable, traditional hand; the polyester adds resilience and a little softness; the cotton scrim is what lets you quilt or tie up to 10" apart. It is made without glues, so there is no chemical odor. This 110" x 25-yard bolt is the wide-format roll for longarm studios and shops.
At 110" it covers queen tops in either direction with margin, plus oversized queens and smaller kings; a full 120" king needs a wider roll. No pre-washing is needed and it quilts straight from the bolt; expect about 3% shrinkage after the first wash for a subtle, traditional crinkle. Made in the USA.
The same blend comes in full cases of baby and queen batts. If you want all cotton, see Warm 100 in the same 110" x 25-yard format.

Compare and choose
- Warm 80/20 vs Hobbs Heirloom 80/20: which should I buy?
- Both are 80% cotton, 20% polyester, low loft and natural in color. Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 is lightly resin-bonded with no scrim, has a softer drape, and should be quilted within about 4". Warm 80/20 is needle-punched into a 100% cotton scrim with no glues, so it is a little firmer and flatter and can be quilted or tied up to 10" apart. Choose Hobbs for a soft, traditional bed quilt with dense quilting; choose Warm 80/20 for open pantographs, tied quilts and anyone who wants a scrim. Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 120" roll
- Warm 80/20 vs Warm & Natural: blend or cotton?
- Warm & Natural is 100% cotton fibers on a thin scrim; Warm 80/20 swaps 20% of the cotton for polyester on a cotton scrim. Both shrink about 3%, both quilt up to 10" apart, both are needle-punched with no glues. The polyester adds resilience and a slightly softer, loftier hand and helps the quilt spring back after folding. If you want pure cotton flatness, buy Warm & Natural; if you want a bit more give, buy the 80/20. Warm & Natural 90" x 40 yd bolt
- Will 110" cover a king quilt?
- It covers queens with room to spare and kings up to about 106" wide, but not a 120" x 120" king in one piece. For a true king in an 80/20, use the Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 120" roll or the Quilters Dream Select 80/20 120" king roll. Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 120" roll
- Warm 80/20 vs Linda's Deluxe: what is the difference?
- Linda's Deluxe is our own cotton-poly blend made for us by Hobbs on a 96" roll: bonded, no scrim, soft drape, quilted within about 4". Warm 80/20 is needle-punched into a cotton scrim on a 110" roll and can be quilted up to 10" apart. Pick Linda's Deluxe for soft custom work on queens and smaller; pick Warm 80/20 for wider tops and open quilting. Linda's Deluxe Cotton/Poly 96" roll
- Does Warm 80/20 shrink, and should I pre-wash?
- No pre-washing needed; quilt it straight from the bolt. Expect about 3% shrinkage after the first wash, which gives the soft, slightly crinkled look most quilters want. Wash the finished quilt cold if you want to keep shrinkage to a minimum.
- How far apart can I quilt Warm 80/20?
- Up to 10" between quilting lines or ties, thanks to the cotton scrim. That is wide enough for open pantographs and tied quilts.
- Is Warm 80/20 microwave safe?
- No. Warm 80/20 contains polyester and must stay out of the microwave. Use Pellon Wrap-N-Zap for bowl cozies and anything microwaved; it is a 100% cotton batting made for that job. Pellon Wrap-N-Zap 90" x 9 yd roll
- Do you ship batting rolls to Alaska or Hawaii?
- No. Rolls and boards ship only to the 48 contiguous states; orders from Alaska, Hawaii or outside the US are cancelled and refunded. Pre-cut packages ship to all locations. Shop packaged batting
